A Conversation for Superfrenchie's NaJoPoMo 2015

Superfrenchie

November 11th is a bank holiday here, celebrating the end of the First World War.
When I still lived at my parents', in a little village, we would go to the ceremonies, a time for meeting up with neighbours.
Now I live in a city, there are such ceremonies here too, but they don't have the same appeal.

What I did on the holiday.

I had a lie-in, which is always nice.
Then in the afternoon I went to a friend's for crepes. There were four of us, and we had sugar, icing sugar, jams (strawberry and plum) and maple syrup.
No chocolate spread, but we managed all right.

And this evening I did my homework... *shudder*

I've been on a training course to prepare my upcoming competitive exam, and we had an exam subject that the teacher had asked us to do and email him before November 11th.
Being in the "can't work unless it's last minute" state of mind, I did it this evening. smiley - yikes

It's a three hour exam with two parts :
smiley - mod The first one is a set of questions (15 to 20 of them) on a set of documents.
It's not very hard, but you need to read fast, and write fast.
smiley - mod The second part is a "long answer" question. They want an argumentative answer in two parts, in 30 lines or less (fewer?).
That's the difficult bit, mostly because when you get to it, you've usually used up most of your three hours...

I finished the whole thing in 2 hours and 50 minutes, but I skipped one of the short questions, and I didn't read it up to correct possible spelling/grammar mistakes.
So I'm within the time limit, but I don't think I've done a very good job. smiley - shrug

It's a bit stupid really, to start training us a month and a half before the exam... We probably won't have even the results for our second mock before we take the actual exam... smiley - rolleyes
Oh well, at least, it's good training for next year.... smiley - goodluck
