I know I said I was going to talk about different ways of brooding chicks, but I did only say maybe, I think. I'm tired, and I'm going to spend time with my husband instead of typing like adsmiley - tongueout

I will update on the eggs, though--I candled the eggs that had gotten cold, and one is moving like crazysmiley - chick One was a definite goner--it was stinky and seepingsmiley - yikes In all, I kept 2 outside eggs, and 2 incubator eggs. Only the 1 had movement, but it doesn't hurt anything to give the other 3 a chance for another day. Longer than that, with no external pip, and there's a large chance that there's some abnormality keeping the chick from hatching, and that would likely end with an unwell chick. It's much simpler to dispose of an egg than a fluffy little chick, especially if you've worked with it to help it hatch or to try to get it to survivesmiley - erm
