I grew up on a property that had a flowering quince shrub, it had pretty red blossoms but no fruit. You cake sounds yummy but the link to the recipe did not work here.

mmm I'm hungry now. I've only ever eaten quince jelly, because my father had a quince tree in the garden, and my mother used to make quince jelly, which was like jam, sort of but not quite. What's the difference between jam and jelly?
It was a beautiful rose pink colour. Nice on toast.
Great article. Made me laugh . Bit cheeky to laugh, but it was the thought of you two coming back with all these quinces.
You'll have to go fruitarian for a few months.
I knew a fruitarian once. He lived on .. fruit. I couldn't do that. I'd get too hungry. I'd try to eat cheese diguised as fruit, or biscuits disguised as fruit. Or even the kitchen table. Oh, sorry! I just ate the table. I thought it was a watermelon.
I could send him your way if I knew where he was, he'd help you eat the quinces.

Thanks cactuscafe.
I've made crab apple jelly. You cook the fruit, then put it in a bag and strain out the juice, which is then combined with sugar and set.
