It is real exciting! I think that this is such a remarkable epic that most of the epic tales in the West are not as good in comparison. I'll take it over all the 'Lord of the Rings' carry-on anyday. The scope and the complicated plots are really fascinating and the internalized 'code' of the heroes are much less simple minded. Plus it is so ancient.

Thank you Rod and Elektragheorgheni
The Mahabharata is a hige epic. Besides the prime story line, it's strewn with innumerable stroies and folklores, most related to the ancestors of the Pandavas and the Kauravas. The naration is incredible and is full of details and would make the reader easy to picturise the events in their minds. It's certainly the biggest epic ever written, and is one of the most wonderful one.
I've written a synopsis of the characters and explained in a gist the backdrop of the events that took place in the epic before the incident described in this story took place in the conversation titled The Characters. That would make tou understand the story even better. And of course if you would like to read the epic in full you can always refer to the link I mentioned at the end of the story.
