Mine is developing into a three-tome autobiography. I think I'll have some editing to do before August is out and I have to submit it.

I got my book on Paul Robeson, but it's huge! ('Paul Robeson' by Martin Bauml Duberman.) Even skim reading it's going to take me a while, and I'm going to have to give it back to the library before we go to France.

Great theme.

And I really like the part of the intro that says 'All comers are welcome, old, young, somewhere in between...(did I mention we're not fussy?).'

This helps me, in many ways. . Good timing for me to read this. I'm sort of in between in quite a lot of ways.

I've had a lifelong troubled relationship with trying to fit into the role of artist (clutches brow intensely), even though I create all the time, . I've had fears about contributing, get easily out of my depth. So this has set up a dilemma, because I want to support Create.

However, in the last few months, I've quit a lot of my internal pressures, and now I am free to share the vistas and vistions of my life, just for what they are. A free ranging, eccentric old lady on the loose. . Uh oh...

To get to the point .... All I can do these days is create a photograph, with funny writing all over it. Like a postcard. Or postcards. . I have a lot to say about the soundtrack of my life. .

If I can get it together before the end of August, then I'll try to send it to you, if this format is appropriate.

If I make a photo of an album cover, incorporated into a collage, do I have to credit it somehow? I don't want to get into copyright problems.

If I'm too slow with this project, and if August turns to September, , it was good to write to you here, and thanks for that great intro and for your themes.

CC, I'm not an expert on copyright but this is what Tavaron said about featuring a book cover to go with a book review

"We can do it as long as it's obvious that it is a book(cover). What we can't do is take a photo of just the picture on the book. If you know what I mean."

Hmm. Interesting. Thanks mvp! That's useful. I'm glad I asked now.

I might avoid the issue by making a photograph of how the album in question sounds to me. Which could get abstract, and consequently peculiar, in a zig zag kind of a way. .And yet my intentions to support Create are strengthening. If I can match the theme to the format.

It's just that I have finished my little photographic piece for this project, emailed it to my friend Mister D, that would be Dmitri, because I don't know how else to get photos onto hootoo, and he gave me splendid instructions by email on how to notify the Create team about this and offer an A number. So I thought I'd have to go on a reeeely long journey through cyberspace, but I'm here already.
