Someone's stash for personal use was grabbed at Gatwick. I guess the passenger knew he wouldn't have access to them in Europe and wanted some 'comfort' food to stave off homesickness. I hope he'll get over it.

There is a sort of similar creature in Uganda & Kenya, that the locals used to eat, alive. I was encouraged to try them. Maybe I did (but probably not!).

Hi folks, thanks for the comments! Elektra, I think that guy would have had a different kind of caterpillar, as far as I know Mopane trees and caterpillars don't occur in Burkina Faso. Rod, those ones you mention would also have been a different kind. These ones of ours as far as I know aren't eaten alive!
