Perhaps I should give a clue now? I would have made much of it (this) had I been an astrologer.

Blimey, no, I've learned that today! And I remember why I didn't link to the Tunguska event originally, because it's more of a conspiracy theory.

Hey, wait a minute - Prof Michio Kaku was just discussing Tunguska on TV. smiley - rofl

The video Gnomon mentioned is on Youtube on 'UFO TV', and is great. I like the Nazi flying saucers in Antarctica - they look suspiciously like restaurant dish covers. smiley - whistle 'Iron Sky' did it better.

Gnomon - time to move on

I think it is something to do with the conjunction between Jupiter, Aldebaran and the Moon, but I can't think what.

OK, let's speculate. Jupiter, also known as Zeus, was the top god in the Greek pantheon. He was famous for chasing the ladies, and sometimes the young men, and he often disguised himself by taking other forms while he seduced his targets - a bull, a swan, a shower of golden rain(!). In this case, Aldebaran is the eye of the bull. So the skies are probably reminding us of the time Zeus in bull form pursued Europa, ploughing out the channel between Europe and Asia (the Bosporus) while he did so. Istanbul lies on this channel. In fact, the moon and the star together, now a symbol of Islam, were an ancient symbol of the city of Istanbul long before Islam was even invented, so this is a double sign that Istanbul will be in the news soon.

I'm guessing that Turkey are going to win the Eurovision.smiley - smiley
