smiley - sorry you got hit with that Benjamin. What a drag. I'm glad it didn't last as long as the flu does, but it sounds really awful. Don't know what to recommend when your wife gets a new plan. It is a shame you didn't have a small voice activated recorder to hear what the discussion was. That could have helped you understand what the treatment regime was so you could help her through it. smiley - hug

Wasn't too bad in the end, it didn't last long, and flu sounds much worse. When it comes to my care plans, it's best to let my wife tale care of me, I lack the discipline. Plus, as I said in the article, she likes doing the caring when she gets a chance.
Thanks for posting, it's nice to know people are reading. smiley - ok

Magwitch - My name is Mags and I am funky.

I had something like that the other week, it was horrid.

Our carer/caree roles were reversed for two days, thankfully no hospital 'consultants' that week.

I could tell you a story about our MS consultant...

We were in there for less than eight minutes, he didn't ask a single question, and was out of the door before A had even been able to stand up. We had to shake his hand outside the consulting room. Pleasent chap, not. A complete and utter waste of time. I think he doesn't really have a clue and can't wait to get shut of his 'patients'. smiley - grr

Had some good consultants and some bloody awful consultants. One guy didn't look up from his notes even to tell Raven she had a cyst on her brain, and one guy ignored me when I asked him a direct question. On the other hand, I know another who laughs and jokes with us both, one who hands me bits of equipment he is giving R so that I can see how they work and several who answer my incessant questions patiently and thoroughly.
