Rod I really enjoyed this series. You'll have to get inspired and do another one.
Sorry to see Omar go.

I want to see the whole thing patched together
as a whole piece. My attention span suffers
when I have to pick and click around between
the sections.

You miss my point, sir.
Your suggestion involves not just clicking
but a fair amount of cognitive picking
since the relevant entries are not listed
in an uninterrupted series in the Rod Archives.
I suggest again that all 8 parts be cojoined
in a single entry for the benefit of those
who find it hard to pick and choose without
losing the esthetic in the mechanics there-of.
While Rod's decision to publish these in a serial
is not to be questioned, perhaps he can now be
convinced that they should offered in omnibus.

Sorry I'm late replying - been away for a week.
Yes, I could put 'em together in order of Fitzgerald's first effort (the early few Rodlerised verseries were just picked out from memory).
My 8 pomes were the only ones I could see that fitted the spec (hootoo-able) and I'm not at all confident of maintaining sufficient interest to chase through any more - methinks the idea would quickly become stale.
Tell you what, though - it's good to see your comments.
I'll put it together (when time allows) - and see what the DG has to say . . .
Thanks, folks.

Done it - at some cost to the even tenor of one's days.
It's here:

and yes, I know most don't follow the original at all well - but that wasn't a target

Are you sure? Really, really sure?
Great shall be thy reward.
I was impressed by a quote recently
which I admit I would have once called
sentimental nonsense but which lately
in the wake of Effers passing has me
thinking there might be something to it.
"What we do for ourselves dies with us
but what we do for others lives on."

PS:
I have left a note of appreciation at the newly
banged together work; I mention this here now
soley for the excuse of repeating the A-number
for those who may follow.

And to repeat how much better I understand and
appreciate the work as a whole now. Thank you.

Yes, I noticed that quote. (Julian Hall, apparently, in 2012)
sort of goes with
The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones (youknowwho)
