Also important is not to hold back appreciating family and friends while you have the opportunity to talk to them. I noticed that several years before my dad passed away he would tell me he loved me every chance he got. If there are family feuds it really improves everyone's quality of life to get these resolved. Be the first to apologise for hurting someone's feelings even if they were the first offender. Life is too short to bear silly grudges. And those suckers are energy drainers too.

On my dad's side of the family there were, and are, squabbles and feuds whose root can no longer be detected. It's something I am keen to change that I don't get to see as much of my family as I would like. From a distance the internet is such a valuable tool for keeping in touch.

That is a smiley - cool use for technology. Best of luck wearing the grudge-bunnies down. People are so stubborn though, unfortunately the human heart is too capable of being hardened. It is always worthwhile to keep chipping away at them though. I think that your entries do that in an open and honest way so keep them coming!
