Elektragheorgheni -Please read 'The Post'

It is fascinating to read about these critters, thanks for sharing. Do toads start out as tadpoles too? I feel so dumb for someone who read biology as an undergraduate I find gaping holes of even zoology which I thought was one of my better subjects.

Yes, the writing is getting better and better every week
and I'm wondering how much longer we will be able to enjoy
this series without having to buy his book. Seriously, it
is passed time that someone collected these and published
them in a wider forum than this cosmically tiny piece of
cyberspace called h2g2.

I said 'cosmically' not comically but it is kinda funny that
this compressed little whirled of h2g2 contains so much talent,
so many geniuses that need to be shown to the realwhirled out
there... somewhere.

Willem

Hi folks! Elektra, yes 'regular' toads also start out as tadpoles. JWF, I will keep sending in new art and articles for this column even if I do plan on getting a book out about them! The book will feature new writing and more art, by the way. I'm planning towards it.

Great! smiley - applause

And of course, because you design these pages
for an online environment I'm sure you would
be quite successful with a 'kindle' or other
online publishing for tablets and notebooks
presenting each entry as a single page.

It would be interesting how the art resolves
itself on a screen with lighting backgrounds
designed for reading text. There is a kind of
pastel quality about the watercolours that is
quite comforting to the eyes on these more
brightly lit h2g2 pages.

Keep 'em coming!
smiley - cheers
