I almost forgot to make a posting for today and I've already taken my night time medication so this may be short.
My computer problem seems to be resolved to my satisfaction. I still get a message telling me that the battery needs maintenance. I can't imagine what kind of maintenance it could need. It is fully charged. It seems to be working. I'm sure that if I take it into the Genius Bar at the Mac Store, they will just tell me I should not have bought the off-brand battery and that I should buy a new $80 Mac Battery. Or better yet, I should buy a new $1200 computer which I can't afford at all right not.
My brother is in town this week for Thanksgiving (US). He brought an iPad he borrowed from work. He's convinced my next computer should be and IPad. I don't think so. I am trying out the iPad and it's not the same as having a computer. It would be fun to have one, maybe, but I think mostly for as sort of a toy. I use word processing and a newsletter program too much to just get by with an IPad.
I'm ambivalent about the newest Mac laptops though. They have taken out the optical drive. I use the optical drive all the time. I don't think I can depend on getting everything I need directly off the internet. Downloading large games takes forever over the internet.
I'm having trouble with Hootoo again. Couldn't get onto my PS except on Pliny. Will copy this post to clipboard incase it gets eaten by the internet.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
