A Conversation for I Couldn't Care Less: To have Loved and Lost (Part 2)

It's our new one, *our* Splot.
My husband has MS and fairly recently had a major relapse, all down his left hand side, this included giving him double vision so he was unable to drive anywhere. He was very upset about that and very, very low. Fortunately, new glasses have helped with that and the relapse is now (thankfully) remitting - so much so that he now even has feeling in both hands for the first time in over twelve months!
Back to the Pink wafers - we were watching England in the Euros this summer, it was the one with penalty shoot out (Italy?) Roy Hodgson was looking quite perturbed and we started putting words into the players' and manager's mouth to the effect of
Roy:'Have you eaten me Pink wafers?'
Team: 'No, Boss'
Player 1 'You'd better get his Pink wafers out of your bag'
Player 2 'I haven't seen his Pink wafers, I bet it's Andy Carroll
etc, etc
We use it all the time now, when someone/anyone looks at a loss...

That's just brilliant, Mags.
Isn't it wonderful how the little things are what makes our closest relationships special?

Hi both, sorry I haven't replied sooner. It was the italy game, as it happens, and I will try to remember pink wafers. Does anyone still eat pink wafers?

We do, that's why I think we chose them, they're always the first ones to disappear from the biscuit tin. They're quite lovely with a cup of cocoa
