I do not say often enough how much I enjoy Willem's art.
I confess I have many times copied and pasted his work
into emails or used them as desktop backgrounds.
I even 'borrowed' his African Xmas tree to send a few
e-card greetings last year.
Yes, I understand this confession does nothing to aid his
making a living but I do hope it adds to his confidence
to know that his art is considered valuable enough for
some (perhaps more than we'll ever know) to 'borrow'.

Hello jwf! Yes it is nice that people appreciate my art. I don't mind it being borrowed like this ... you could help me just by mentioning me as being the artist whenever sending something using my work to someone else! All publicity is good stuff for an artist.

Cheers Willem.
And yes I have always said that I borrowed the image
from 'someone at h2g2, a friend from South Africa'.
From now on I would add your name and U-number and
if you are willing, I can also include a link to any webpage
where they might be able to view and possibly buy more.

I could not agree more. Willem's art is one of the things I talk about most when I tell people about h2g2.

Hello Rod, Researcher5 and jwf. I have most of my art on that other social network. But pointing people to the Colours of Wildlife archive would also help ...

That's A53937714
How lazy am I that I had never looked there before.
I'll keep a record of that link on my homepage so
I can visit more regularly. It will take a while for me
to explore it all - a lovely resource for my mind
and soul.
I will also refer people to that archive. Especially
if I use your African Xmas Card again this year.
Presumably people can contact you there.
Cheers, and thanks for all the beautiful pictures.

Yes, and please notice - Willem's new plant series will also be archived on that page, for easy reference.
