For your consideration. Guide ML escapes me entirely, so any help with headers and footnotes is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If try and write it in guideML whilst in brunel skin you get a sort of tool bar at the top with buttons for headers and footnotes etc, just highlight the bit you want to be a header, click the correct button and it'll put the tags in for you. New to it myself, have been having a play for the last few days.

Guied ML is a little complex, until you start using it. there are really only a few 'tags' you need to know to get the job done.
are tags that surround paragraphs
are the big header tags, while are for smaller headers tags.
Start every bit with and end the whoole thing with .
So a very short article might look like this:
Dearborn
My hometown
I live in Dearborn Michigan. So does Ford.
That's it.
A few things about your content:
"For anyone with a CNN feed, most of the stories in which a reporter is talking with an expatriate Arab originate in Dearborn."
Not good, it's hyperbolic and not too clever, cut it and the rest sounds better.
" It’s' not uncommon to hear someone say something like 'My brother just got a job with Fords'."
That should read "it's" right?
"If you'd like a taste of Henry Ford himself, the Ford mansion, called Fairlane is open year round for tours."
So ole Hank is on the menu eh? heh heh. . .
Overall, it's a nice article. Reread it for yourself and try to take stuff out that sounds like you're trying too hard. But for the most part, I like the article. A little mroe work and it'll be quite nice.

Very nice entry, and what's more I've been to Greenfield Village and stood in Edison's workshop You could probably spend a week at GF and the Henry Ford Museum and still not see everything.
You might want to add the fact that you are standing Edison's *actual* workshop and the Wright Brothers *actual* bicycle shop which were dismantled, transported and rebuilt brick by brick (the entry doesn't make that completely clear), and if I remember rightly you can also walk around Stephen Foster's house and that of Noah Webster.
Where is Dearborn Heights?
Well done.

Thanks very much. That was very helpful. I think I made most of the changes you suggested. If you catch anything else I'd be glad for your input.

Deaborn Heights is a neighboring suburb that borders on Dearborns' west side and sort of brackets Dearborn. It's shaped kind of like an upper case 'I' with large blocks on the end. The body of the I is only a few blocks wide. Both ends are basically blue collar, although the north side is somewhat wealthier than the south side. Do you know someone there?

I am guessing you mean Buffalo, New York. And I suppose it is close, if you're considering distance on a global scale. Actually, Buffalo is about 275 miles or 4 and a half hours by car from Dearborn. And that's if you travel through Canada. Following the southern shore of Lake Erie through Ohio will take you six or seven hours. If you mean Buffalo, Minnesota that's quite a bit further. Most European visitors are often suprised by just exactly how large the US is. Here is an example. Find the state of Michigan on a map. If you were to start driving on the interstate highway going north it would take almost 5 hours at 75 miles per hour to reach the tip of the lower penninsula. It would take another 7 at least to cross the upper penninsula.

I used to know someone whose sister and some friends used to live there - this was almost 20 years ago.

Well, 20 years ago I was all over dearborn Heights. I was still in school in Dearborn Heights back then. If anyone you know was too, I may have a passing acquiantance with them at least.

Well, the friend might have (I don't remember his family name though) but the sister went to school in Livonia to the best of my knowledge. And they were all well out of school by then anyway.

I went to my high school senior prom with a girl I met in Florida who was from Dearborn. She was cool. I had no idea how much cool stuff was up there. Ironically, referencing HELL's entry, I grew up/went to high school near Buffalo, NY
