Oh good, you are here too. I was worrying that of yours doesntqualify for scifi, then nothing I ever write (hypothetically...) will.
Still wanna know why _popcorn_ of all things.Or was it just the song?

No, it was microwave => popcorn => song. Then the joyous discovery that the composer of 'Popcorn' was born in Bochum, Westphalia, Germany. 
I love synchronicity like that.
I don't use a microwave, and people in offices primarily use them to make popcorn, you see.
