"There has been a problem with the page"

Post 1

Kitty

User 96810, when logged in, gets "There has been a problem with the page" appear on /any/ h2g2 page attempted to view. This means the user cannot do /anything/ (like post a bug report or sign out.) Once h2g2 cookies are deleted, site is readable again but user is signed out (obviously enough).

OS: Windows7
Browser: Firefox 7.01, also occurred in IE 9.0.3
Skin: goo
Time of day: 21:30 UTC

It's possible attempted use of ae ligature in the screen name may have affected the situation, but it worked initially ...

Hallo Kitty, I'll bring this to the techs' attention.

I guess the techs are quite busy, but an acknowledgement of the bug report might be nice... smiley - erm

Oh dear, you haven't been contacted. We've stepped all over each other. Let me head to the back room and find out.

The boys in the back room believe they have fixed the bug, but can't confirm whether you've been told since I don't know your email address (don't post it here!). Have you tried logging in again?

Yay, it's fixed, thank you
No, neither I nor Kitty had been told. I did try logging in a while ago, but as I then have to go deleting cookies again in order to read h2g2 I didn't try yesterday.

Thank you thank you
