Excellent idea.smiley - smiley I shall most liekly be at both the pre-pre-game party at George Square in Glasgow the night before the World Bowl, as well as at the actual game itself. I'll also try to get in to Glasgow for as many of the events as possible the week before the game itself, if it's something that'd interest me.

smiley - bleeping Frankfurt.. They didn't even put up a fight this weekend... They're too afraid to met the Claymores, that's what it is...

I'll be along at Hampden all afternoon, I'd say..
I'll post my mobile number in a day or so, so you can get hold of me to set up a meeting venue.

I wouldn't post your mobile number on a public message board.

Perhaps an exchange of emails first and do the mobiles there?

I will be flying up on Sat, should be arriving around 10am (ish). Then travel from Prestwick to Glasgow. Staying in the Travel inn, George Street, Glasgow. According to their details there is a bar on site - 'Slice Restaurant & Bar'. Do you guys want to meet up there or nearer Hampden???

BTW - my email = [email protected]

Anyone fancy writing a reprt of the game for my column in the Post next week?

Egon,

I could write you a report but what basis it will have in reality after the amount of beers I will have consumed is a different matter smiley - winkeye

I could give it a shot, Egon.
I'll try to keep my senses, and since they only serve beer (which I don't really fancy) at the game, I think I'll be able to keep myself from being overly inebriated.smiley - smiley

Cheers Ku'Reshtin (ex-VRHG?).

And even if you did get slightly tipsy it wouldn't be the first time someone has in my column. I once fitted in a report on england drawing with macedonia in *proper* (smiley - winkeye) football inbetweena drinking session and the deadline, and had to be edited at the las minute by Shazz as I said that "both of England's gals were scored by modfielders" so I wouldn't worry if I were you.

Yeah, Egon, It is I, Ex-VRHG...

I'll see what I can do.. I'm heading to the pre-pre-game party tonight as well, so I'll see if I can get a report on that as well.smiley - smiley

Just include as much or as little detail as you like about the game itself, the season if you wish, the absurd festivities (hell, the week of the superbowl I included a little anecdote about watching it half cut in an australian hat in a branch of "Walkabout", so there is a precedent.)

Ahh the festivities ... I was reading about those over on NFL.com ...

http://www.nfl.com/international/story/6421727

I particularly laughed at the bit that said:

"The UK's top female group**, Sugababes, will headline the halftime show, whose No. 1 hits include "Round Round" and "Shape."

*top? what are they on about?

Actually, I'd say the Sugababes are the UK's top female group. I quite like them, personally.
