Right... after overestimating forum members knowledge of starters for particular teams at particular positions, I'd thought I'd see just how much you lot do or do not know...
Sharkey, you mention legendary...
Cowboys O-Line from the early 90's?... have a crack, there are no points resting on this one...

Shade was much later...
Eric Thomas
Lewis Billups
David Fulcher

'95 would have included Neon Deion and Don Griffin perhaps Eric Wright was still hanging around ...
What about the Seventh Heaven defense, oh knowledgeable one?

49'ers DB's circa 94/95 season
Deion Sanders
Eric Davis
Merton Hanks

I'm starting to wonder if you're just winding me up...

I don't remember groups of players. Simple as that. I doubt I could even name a complete group of players for the Seahawks, except the present starters.

What year are we talking about here... is it late 80's?
If so...
Bruce Smith
Fred Smerlas
Leon Seals

Indeed except my research has revealed the nose tackle is wrong. We're looking at 1990 which when I read a USA Today article calling them such. Name never quite caught on though. Any memories of the secondary?

1990 NT - Jeff Wright?
DB's....
Mark Kelso
Leonard Smith
Nate Odomes
... struggling with the other CB, and I'm not too sure about Smith. He may have been gone by then....
just remembered the other Safety from the Bengals SB XXIII team... Soloman Wilcots...

Jeff Wright it was. How about Clifford Hicks as the other DB?
So who were the Detroit Lions almost quality defense circa 1988-1990?

buggered if I know...
Okay, I'll give it a shot..
Jerry Ball
Chris Speilman
Mike Cofer - the Lions LB and not the 49'ers kicker...
Ray Crockett
Melvin Jenkins
Bennie Blades
... that's all I've got for now...
Clifford Hicks could indeed be a possibility, although he sounds like the back-up to me. I'm almost sure there was someone else although I could be wrong...

My mistake it was Kirby Jackson.
Meanwhile the Lions weren't that renowned although you'd probably remember Dennis Gibson also

Ahhh, Kirby Jackson... that's the fella!
and Dennis Gibson... I knew there was another ILB of note but had no incling of who he was... finished up with San Diego I believe, receiving a pummeling from SF...
I have no idea who the Lions DE's were, too early for Porcher and Scroggins, and I have a feeling I should know the other Safety... I know I'll never get the other OLB unless I look it up...

Famous Starting Groups
FiedlersFizzle Posted Apr 10, 2003
Bit before my time the Smurfs... still, I'll have a go...
Charlie Brown
Art Monk
Alvin Garrett
that's all I can think of, and probably know...
