I know who Scotlands main guys are (Craig Nall, Ken Simonton) but I have no idea who's on the other teams or how they've performed through pre-season scrimmages... I'll post my predictions tommorrow...smiley - smiley

I'm going for Rhein, Frankfurt and Scotland as well.
Inside info from the Claymores Fan day on Sunday, Craig Nall (Packers third stringer last year) is going to start and the Claymores have two good RBs in Ken Simonton and Maurice Hicks.

The Claymores are also known for their stingy Defense, and this year looks to be the same. Apparently, one of the National LBs (Jens Pettersson, Swedish) knocked a Frankfurt guy out during a scrimmage durig training camp, so the defense will be looking to hit hard and to hit first. smiley - smiley

Must try and get over there some point this season. Even if I do end up wearing my Monarchs Shirts and a black armband. smiley - smiley

Right... I've read up on all the players etc and am ready to offer my informed opinion (no doubt to be cruelly ridiculed after being hopelessly wrong...)

Rhein will beat Amsterdam
A surprise away win for Barcelona over Frankfurt
Scotland (or should that technically be Scottish) will pip Berlin...

In case that's too messy

Rhein
Barcelona
Scotland

FF, as long as you pick the Clayores to win, I won't ridicule you..smiley - smiley

Going to the Claymores Pep-Rally in Glsgow tonight. First chance for me to see the players and possibly get to talk to Jens Pettersson a bit.smiley - smiley

PatsFan, you won't be alone with the Monarchs Jersey if you go to the WB wearing it.

Well, I'll not be going this year, but I was wearing mine when the Monarchs won the wretched thing before being sabotaged for being just a little too good and not at all American...smiley - cross

I won't be going this year either, but I'm arranging my weekly schedule around the televised games...smiley - smiley

By all accounts, the Claymores at this point look to have some top talent. Craig Nall, Ken Simonton, Edell Shepherd, Chris Ward, Devonte Peterson, James Rooths, Dyshod Carter and Deveron Harper... the offense could be strong but the D seems exceptional, especially the DB's (as usualsmiley - smiley)... let's hope they jel as a team....

In an article about the Clayumores, it said that Deveron Harper might not get the start, evev if he's really good.

I went to see the team yesterday evening at their annual pep rally in glasgow. This year was a total bust as there were about 12 people there in total. I'm sure they weren't helped by the fact that the fire alarm went off about 30 minutes before it was supposed to start.
Got to speak a bit with Jens Pettersson, Coach Dahlquist and D-line coach Tomsula and they're all pretty confident about the season, but Tomsula seemed a bit concerned with the Berlin Thunder O-line.

VRHG... I read somewhere that Harper won't start too. I take that to mean that Carter and Rooths are pretty special themselves...smiley - smiley
