Who scored the first 2-point conversion in NFL history, for which team, and in what year?

Bonus if you know the opponent.

Good luck!
smiley - ok

Is this just from when the rule was re-introduced in 1994 or does it include when the AFL used it from 1960-1969?

Sorry. They Think it's all over is a sports quiz on UK tv. Jonathon Ross is a regular guest despite, or maybe because of, his total ignorance about all forms of sport.

Ku'Reshtin (Bring the beat back!)

I remember reading about this a coiuple of months back, but I can't remember who scored the conversion. It was in a Miami game, and if I remember correctly, it was a pass from Dan Marino that was completed for the points. It might have been against the Bills, but I'm not sure about that either. Lots of guessing there..smiley - smiley

Well, yeees...

I'm going for Marino, vs the Jets, in the 1994/1995 playoffs, I think.

I think it was a pass, though, so Marino didn't score the two-point conversion. He merely passed the ball to whoever scored the points.

Okay, the rule was intorduced in 1994 so I have to think it was one of the opening weekend games.

Miami played New England that week, with Danny out-duelling Drew Bledsoe in a 39-34 thriller (a game I saw on TV, though I will be guessing here)

Marino threw 5 TD passes that day which with a field goal would make 38 points normally, so 39 could suggest a 2 pointer!!

Okay, wild guesses all, but, Irving Fryar, Mark Ingram, Keith Jackson, Terry Kirby?!!!

I have to admit Eagle 1, you have me stumped!!!!smiley - flustered

It's not Miami, though you're right about it being week 1 of the '94 season. Want a hint?

I think it was a player from one of the weaker teams who would've been playing catchup e.g. Atlanta, Steve Broussard vs New Orleans.
