h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Currently drifting about in this empty space of mine (known as a mind) is "One Day More" from Les Miserables. I would like to burst out into Javert's part, but unfortunately, if I do so here (I live in Wyoming), I'll be considered a maniac and will be locked up. Poor, poor, pitiful me.

Marius' part is more apt to get stuck in my head, which is annoying, as I hate soppiness. Javert would be much cooler.

I have 'Do Nothing Til You Hear From Me' on in my internal radio at the moment. For no apparent reason.

For the last few WEEKS i have intermittedly (but always at work) had the theme tune to Dallas, which is unbelievably annoying for not only me but everyone around me especially considering i dont think i've ever seen an episode of it in my life. However, i am working on removing it, but it seems i have only suceeded in replacing it with sweet home alabama - which is clearly much better!

Over and over I hear the scarecrow sing,If I only had a brain!
I fill in what I don't know with ta ta ta dadadadada da da..
But mostly..'if I only had a brain' keeps me focused.

I have a tendency when working on the computer to alternately hum the theme from the great escap or the muppet show. It doesn't annoy me but it really winds up any one within earshot.

A good day is if i hear others humming what i happen to be humming that day.

There are two I hate, as once they're in my head they won't shift:

'Lucky You' by the Lightning Seeds ('Oooooh!' AGHHH)

and possibly even worse:

'Seven Seconds' by Neneh Cheery and Yousson N'Dour, especially that bit in the middle where he sings:

'...and there's a...MEEEEELLLION voices/And there's a MEEEEEELLLION voices.'

Awful! And thanks to this thread they've both come back to haunt me.

I left my Miz CD at my friend's house. Argh. I'm going to kill Keller if he so much even tries to "borrow" it. CSR, people, CSR (complete symphonic recording).

My very cruel boss will sing The Girl from Ipanema or The Spanish Flea in order to get them stuck in my head. He also sings the theme to Lights, Camera, Action, Wiggles - the very latest in The Wiggles tv shows - ever since I first complain about its sticking power.

We used to play the Muppets theme in junior band. I find it more cute than annoying but then I don't get it stuck in my head.

Ah, all you poor, poor, people. That reminds me... Look at all the lonely people... If there is ever one catchy song that I will never mind being in my head, it's "Eleanor Rigby". The violin solo is beautiful.

Teehee, I wander round singing loads of the songs, Javerts mainly. Stars is a great personal favourite, when I went to see the show (I was a fan for 7 years before that) he started singing that song and I burst into tears! lol!

What is it about one day more though? It just goes round and round and round... It wouldn't be so bad, but I find it impossible to sing all the parts at the right time when theres just the one of me!
