Except I don't wear spectacles. I still find the phrase useful for remembering the things I need though. I've sort of mentally substituted my mobile for these. The wallet has my money and keys in/attached, the 'phone allows me to contact people, covering a number of eventualities, and the watch is as much a comfort item as a practical thing. I also carry a towel in my bag, but I only take it places where I take my bag.

I laughed out loud when I saw the title. My Dad would do that many mornings before going to work and now and then I do it when I know it won't offend the people around me.

Personally I tend to put everything in a pile around the change bowl ready for the morning. Wallet, house keys, car keys, glasses, watch, cell (mobile), pager, daytimer. Quite a pile! What I really want is a *butler*, those wooden things that have a bar to put your trousers over, a fixed hanger for your shirt/jacket, and a big tray on top for all of that cr@p. Either that or I should retire to the beach where I just need my flip-flops and swim trunks.

I'm terribly sorry, I just noticed your singular (pun included) lack of some fairly essential equipment in the title of this thread.
