Hello. I am new too having joined some ten minutes ago. I was reading some entries to obtain a flavour of the 'place' and read your reference to Morecambe. I was also thinking of some reference to this area but would like to know your input as you arrived here first!

Hello traveller in time.
I have already discovered how huge this site is! I think you are a different person than the one that I posted a reply to... am I right?

I have tried 'chatting' on other sites before but always felt that everyone was too young! Or if not young than understood far more about this method of communication than I did. So, I am hoping for great things now that I have taken the plunge here.

It is rather important to greet new members as soon as they appear, some get confused and never return, some think they understand the functioning of the site and make some mess mostly harmless though.

Now, unless I haven't found them yet, the smilies don't have those little pop-up boxes as one moves one's mouse pointer over them. I refer to the way that those on MSN work. There are such a vast array on this site that it would be good to have this. So, is there somewhere that I haven't seen that does the above.I visited smiley suggestions ( I think!) but just a cartoon isn't always self-explanatory.

Yes that's good - found those? Now next ignorant question. If you move to that site in the middle of a reply how do you get them to appear in message? just click and they appear? I really am always worried about clicking in the wrong place which sends my son into hysterical laughter when he sees me

Just click on the 'back' <---arrow on the top of the task bar. Than normally takes you back to your reply box
