A Conversation for History of Film
Good luck

You'll need it! It looks like you've bitten off a hell of a lot.
Here's a few thoughts to fill your heart with dread
You'll need to go into chemistry, what the film is made from and how it works, does today's stuff differ radically from early film? How does the projector actually work? Also you'll need to explain the difference in speeds from early times to today (why do Chaplin films seem speeded up?). A friend of mine saw a Chaplin film which was projected at the speed it was originally shot at and said it was almost like seeing a different movie, the speedy, jerky movements were gone, instead everything flowed smoothly.
What about kinetescopes?
The long drawn out birth of the 'talkie'.
Colour! (and 3-d too I suppose)
Again, good luck!
Good luck

I'm probably gonna cover all that (might skip the whole chemistry thing though), there's no rush, is there? The different headers are up there as guidelines, some may go, some may stay. It's currently in CWW ( and the info!

Anyway, thanks for the message of luck and the info!
