There's so much more, but ten there always is. I know you and James emailed, too, and I'm glad you shared some of them with me. smiley - hug

Many thanks for writing this. Otherwise I would have never known, both the information about him but also that he has passed away.

This is a wonderful Entry to remember him by.

Hugs to all who knew him, but especially my thoughts are with his good friend Bel - if it's any consolation I am sure he treasured your friendship while he was alive and thank you for sharing your thoughts following his untimely passing.

Yes, I'm sure he treasured our friendship as much as I did. He was a wonderful man. I'm only glad that his last email to me was so positive.
He was excited; full of plans and hope and news. I told him I couldn't wait to hear the full story. Now I never will. smiley - sadface

Gosh, this was a shock. PBS was one of the first people I had any dealings with on here, via Cryptic Clues. I have also loved his tales of Benshasha. I haven't even read everything yet, Bel. Glass of bubbly to himsmiley - bubbly

Utterly gobsmacked. I am completely shocked at this news. I got to know PBS a few years ago and was incredibly privileged to be sent an early copy of "Tales" by e-mail. To my mind, he was a gifted writer with an eye for the absurd.

I'll miss the greeting cards at Eid and other times, but even more, I'll miss the comfort of knowing he was around.

RIP James smiley - rose

I always thought smiley - thepost was privileged to get his writing to publish for free, especially since PBS was often broke. The funny thing was, that he felt privileged because I was so interested in his writing.
I'm very glad I didn't lose all the emails, because I have tales which we never published (at his wish).

Thank you

What a jolt! I don't know what to say. It seems so sudden and out of the blue, like freezing sleet on a summer day. Very sad. All the funny and fascinating things he'd yet to write... lost.

Sorry for your loss Bel, and the Post's and h2g2's. I feel it too, even though I only exchanged a few posts with him - but enjoyed his stories a lot!
