Another sad goodbye

On Friday, I learned about the death of my friend PedanticBarSteward. Regular readers of the Post will know him, or at least his witty submissions. I spent a lot of this weekend rereading his contributions to the Post, and mainly the emails he sent me over the course of more than four years. I will miss him very much.

Life doesn't grind to a halt in the Post Office, though, and so we have a first competition entrant, as well as our usual mix of interesting and amusing articles, all of which you'll find below.
