Yup, agree with the previous poster.
I think you need to focus a little less on humour and a little more on utility. Also you need to, either limit this to sharp ended pins and drop the rolling pins, or add things like bowling pins, grenade pins, etc.
It would probably be a good idea to check a dictionary and limit yourself to one or two of the definitions of pin you find there, or if you're up to it, try to include as many as possible.

i had a two hour lecture on friday on the historical manufacture of pins.

This is a good start, but I think it could be improved with some history of pins. I've heard the phrase "pin money" and I think it dates back several hundred years when pins were rare items that cost a non-trivial amount to purchase.

I've seen rolling pins made out of marble for sale in very expensive kitchen stores.
