OK, here's some more definitions that need words:
The deep breath you take before a dive, or before doing something risky.
The interesting feeling in your brain during calculus class.
The absolute knowlege you have that the trasit system is working, becuase you just saw 4 busses pass on the other side of the avenue in the past half hour.

here's another bunch, tho I think they are peculiar to high school kids:
Painfull feeling in your cheeks from smiling stiffly for too long becuase everyone in the group shot needs a pic on their camera. (similiar feeling can be obtained by laughing too hard too long.)
The rush to photocopy notes before a big test on a subject barely anyone understands or attempts to understand.
The background hum of noise in the classroom while the teacher answers someones question.
