Onchan (adj.) - reluctant to hold the hand of a small child, due to the knowledge or suspicion of where the hand has been.
Kranj (n.) - the strength of character demonstrated when, having overcome the onchan (q.v.), you decide that you would rather the child's hand was firmly grasped in your own than anywhere near your clothes.
Stow Cum Quy (n.) - someone who attempts to be the life and soul of the party by demonstrating an unusual talent involving a part of his anatomy.
Dugi Otok (n.) - that kind of man who will willingly wear a jumper knitted by his wife to identically match one of her own.
Cavtat (n.) - things bought from a middle-aged woman at an antiques fair, which you can haggle down to a price less than she paid for them herself.
Normacot (n.) - any bed in which sexual intercourse has never taken place.
In 1467, the Bishop of Ghent put his own bed on trial for not being a normacot. Found guilty and promptly burnt in the town square, the bed was later exonerated and canonised as a martyr by the Vatican in 1511.
