Batgirl is on on her way... cool

a bit of a cross-over with the comic books room [ F108156?thread=234836&latest=1 ] there but never mind it's bound to happen when comic books super heroes are adapted for the TVscreen...
anyway, tuesday 9pm [gmt] on CNX starts "the birds of prey" with Batgirl in it...
but this time batgirl is not commissioner gordon's daughter or alfred's niece... she is actually batman's daughter... [or so i've been told...]...
of course we all knew that bruce wayne had a daughter who carried on batman's crusade against criminals but her name was/is the huntress... perhaps whoever made the birds of prey thought that batgirl would be a more rate-boosting character than the huntress.. still anyway...
talk soon everyone...

oh right... kat... i just realised that the chances that it would be a new series are very tiny... after all they [CNX] also show KungFu...

Loup is the KungFu series about a Buddhist monk accused of murder and ends ups an exile in USA? He has flashbacks of his training and of his mentor who called him Grasshopper.
Thanks

Loup I will look after it, I loved watching it when I was younger a nothing one which was similar which was Monkey.
I have been watching Doctor Who from 7:30am this morning with non stop episodes. The first two of the very rare William Hartnell stories and then Jon Pertwee. It's a Doctor Who Dalek day. My first toy at the age of two was a toy dalek.
Best Wishes

kat...
to go back to batgirl and "the birds of prey", it seems that the trailer was a bit confusing... batman's daughter _is_ the huntress after all and batgirl is barbara gordon but unfortunately having been previously shot by the joker she can't walk...
and there are some shots of batman as well...
mmmmmm.... and it might be a brand new series [on here anyway]...
talk soon...

The really burning question is, who would win in a fight?
Batgirl or Catwoman?

it's on CNX on fridays as well...
a fight between batgirl and catwoman?!... that would have to be in one of the many parallel DC universes then... yeah my go on catwoman as well... batgirl is/was good but catwoman fights dirty... hehe...
talk soon everyone...

Hi Loup I have just come from Southend when I saw the X-Men 2. Been to the Cyber cafe and the Void bookshop.
Yes I agree I would put my money on Catwoman. Yes I saw the Kung Fu programme on CNX, it brought back happy memories. BTW Loup did you get my emails? One had a photo.

Loup I hope you like it when you see them. Southend is alot bigger than Grays and I like going to the Void bookshop but unfortunately I couldnot stay long as I was going to the cyber cafe, do some shopping and go to the cinema. It's great the X-Men 2
I love the old Batman tv series, I think they also did a cartoon version.

yep... quite a few animated series with batman in them...
CNX are also showing "batman of the future" and of course "justice league"... but i rather liked the batman animated series [a few years ago] where batman was very close to the dark knight a la frank miller...
... i can't stay too long as my PC access time is via the cybercaf...
talk soon...

Loup I am still trying to get the Marvel comics of Superman, Batman, Spiderman etc. The ones I have seen have been written for children and not adults. The first time I read them was in the 1970's and I found one the Greenwich ferry which sparked my interest up. They are reasonably priced but now are more harder to get.
