I could answer yes about a few of my entries, for all of these critera, however, I can't even get rejected, let alone accepted. Much frustration. How about you?

Ooh.. 18 weeks. Sorry about that. I make so many pages in this place that I forget to go back and look for forums under all of them. Since writing this piece I'd like to think that yes I CAN say yes to those questions more often than before. I do still keep all that in mind when possible as I compose new pages, and I think it's improved my productivity. As to whether or not it improves my reject/accept ratio, it's hard to say.

They made me a Sub-editor so my focus hasn't really been on getting accepted. In fact being on this side of the fence now, I can see that it's really not that big of a deal. The approved guide entries are for one part of h2g2, but it's not even really a big part compared to all the other stuff that's going on. It's nice to be sure, but not required to be a part of the h2g2 community. =)

20/20 hindsight, eh?

Getting approved must, in fact, become of less importance if one is to focus on the imaginative and witty part of your suggestions. Those qualities seem to have been put on the back burner with many of the approved guide entries.
