Metallic Fluidity

Thanks for this trip around the sculpture park, and great photos! Is the tree bending in the wind, made out of steel? That is artistic indeed, to be able to create such metallic fluidity.

I enjoyed the paragraph about the perspective.I love situations when perspective goes weird, in an artistic context. Model villages were like that. I wonder if there are still model villages. hmm. Must check.

I digress. smiley - rofl. As usual.

Thanks Rod.

Hi, cactuscafe

Thanks for your comments.
The perspective thing I find quite interesting - I suspect it has something to do with being on the opposite bank as it were.
You can see that you're on solid ground and that it falls away rapidly but your brain takes a while to account for the void in the middle ground.
More research is called for

Metallic fluidity. Nice vision, that. He has a couple of leaping salmon in his show structures - fluid indeed.

Great link. Thanks, Rod. I've been checking the photo gallery. I just love those shiny birds. Very photogenic, these sculptures. Great in silhouette. Now I am really in an arty kind of a mood. heheh. And if you hadn't written about the sculpture park, I might not have known about them, and that would be sad. There's the sculptures themselves, then your writings and the photos, and all are different in texture, and yet .... OK OK enough arty talk. heheh.

Thanks for sharing this with us Ron. The fern and tree are truly lovely. I can feel the wind by looking at it. And that the sculptor fashioned it out of steel is truly remarkable and smiley - cool.

Thanks

Then there's humour, too. That one where he's pedalling to keep the fan going to cool himself - and there's one currently where the fan is above him & has a lever to lower & raise it - for a haircut.
I wonder if they're commissions or was he really bored enough for those few days...?

But
the horse, the horse - my garden for the horse. It really is quite something.
