Thanks. Your bon mot is a special case of "clean the dirty bit first". Often necessary to get that across to music pupils.

are you a private teacher or public school system? it would be so great to sing. i cannot carry a tune in a bucket. my eldest son is my musician. he has enuff talent for both of us. i'm pleased that he is realizing his gift. e23 is trying to find a market for his wares. i tell him to be patient; he must build a reputation, it doesn't just happen.
i really like the stuff on tibet. fascinating.
is there an h2g2 section on history of user names? what the story behind the name is...

I teach privately and in the Academy and Conservatory in Dublin. All the details are on my own web page which can be found in my Personal Space (for those who can't wait to know) . . . my thoughts on music study are collected together in A2466100 "How to Practise Music".
Tibet is a major concern of my good friend Chaiwallah (who has left hootoo to write for the Omnificent English Dictionary in Limerick Form http://www.oedilf.com )
Names? Mine derives from A901036 "Recumbent Bikes - the Future is Laid-back". Yours I gather refers to your multiparity.

i avoid cycling of any kind because i am outragiously uncoordinated. i feel off my stationary bike aka exercycle. that told me that i needed to keep both feet on the ground. i'm content with walking. if i stumble and fall, then it doesn't hurt as bad as falling from a bike.
my name is so blah, but i had to think of something to sign up. perhaps, i'll discover an acceptable alias.
*14son needs the computer so i'll get back to you in a bit!

as funny as it is to watch, i am horribly uncoordinated. walk and chew gum at the same time? only if i make sure chewing is synchronized with stepping. i'm often wondered how i survived childhood with no serious injury. i was such a competitive tomboy.
do you have children? three sons here. one grandson, eleven nephews, and two greatnephews. finally got a greatniece last december. it took 46 yrs after my birth to finally get a girl for my family. i'm glad she's not mine. the child is going to have to be evil to hold her own. her daddy was such a wicked child when young. i can hardly wait to pay him back. the mischief that i can teach her. paybacks are fair game. what goes around comes around! to a good week's end!

Nice talking to you, but this chatty stuff belongs in our Personal Spaces, in the "Leave a message" department. I'd prefer it if we keep this thread more or less philosophical, so to get us back on track, here's another possibly thought-provocative quote (entirely unrelated):
A dog can not be a hypocrite, but neither can he be sincere. ~Wittgenstein
