At least according to the Editors, they're the same person. (Or rather, they both post from the same PC)

They work together, they use the computer at work, it's the same network or something and sometimes Luke would use Owly's password or something...
I don't know all the details

OK, I can understand being banned for those 5000+ postings after being put on pre-moderation.
The question of identity of different accounts emerges again, though.

5000 + post! bloody hell!
but no, Owly and Luke had different accounts, but often worked from teh same computer and according to Owly Luke was able to access his account and post as him

Which only goes to show that you should only click the 'always recognise me on this computer' button on PCs which only you have access to, and log out whenever you have finished using a shared PC.
*sigh*

Exactly, Ben.
Can't see that working as a defense. If one does not log out one has to live with the consequences.

That's a bit harsh. With the exception of the 'offensive material' about which I would like to know more. It seems that Luke has been guilty only of being a bloody fool.
And of course this is the wrong thread to be saying this in

see I always make a point of logging off and not clicking that box when I@m at school because I'm scared people will get onto my page and make me look like a fool or worse ave something like this happen.

Since there is evidence that the account has been misused quite considerably, then IMHO, off sie goes! This kind of flooding is irresponsible and ruins threads.
Whoami?

Agreed.
If it was all an effort to make the most postings list on the info page, perhaps that's a problem that needs looking at?
This is why I'm always a bit cautious with ranking lists - somebody will try to abuse the system to 'win'.

Yeah, there are dangers. I don't see that they're particularly burdensome, though - this has happened what, once?

See I don't pay attention to the stats, but sometimes you can't think what to write and end up posting the same thing (usually ) multiple times...but when does innocent posting turn into spam
