Near the Bodlean. It's on the road out of town if you walk with your back to Debenhams and Waterstones on your right.

Or, on the other end of Broad Street if you come from the train station. Just across the road from the SHeldonian Theatre, in fact. smiley - biggrin

If Uncle Heavy doesn't turn up, then I suggest that we go and kidnap him! He just isn't showing the committment to the site that he ought to be

We break into his college saying 'We have for the one they call Heavy. He is my Mother's brother and we have need of him down the pub. Any problems speak to Greg Dyke.'

Okay, here you go for directions a layman could follow....

The Station
Coming out of the station, the first thing you'll notice is a huge great new building in front of you. This is the new Said Building, ask any local which building was paid for by a gun runner and they'll probably look at you funny, but trust me, this beige square green spired building is the one. This is on the junction of Botley Road and Hythe Bridge Street. Although you'd never guess because it's usually solid traffic jam. Still, walk away from the station along the front of the Said building towards the recently cleaned up Royal Oxford Hotel, with the Savanna resturant in the front of it. Carry on along this road, Hythe Bridge Street, with Blackwells on your left, pass the first set of pelican crossing lights and Jongulars on your right to the second set of pelican lights. Cross over here, towards the Opium Resturant. Can't miss it, it's bright blue and opposite the Job Centre. You don't need to be on the same side as the Opium, staying on the side of the road that the Job Centre is on will do, this is George Street1. Walk up here a bit, dodging the maniac coach drivers and you'll see on the left the Coach Station.

The Coach Station
Coming out of the Coach Station, or not going into it if you're coming from the Train Station, you'll find yourself on George Street. That's if you come out of the Coach Station by the road that the coaches go in from. Turn left along George Street and you'll be heading towards the town centre, this will become more obvious as the tourists get thicker. Walking along here you'll pass such pubs as O'Neils, The Wig And Pen an The Cock And Camel. You will also pass the theatre, but being the sort of person I am I have no idea what it's called.
Shortly, and I do mean shortly, you will find your self at a crossroads. NOTE: The NatWest Cashpoints here are the last before you head out of town again!. Carry on straight over the crossroads, with Debenhams now behind you to the left and Waterstones to your right, with an old church to your left. Watch out for the tourists hanging around the Oxford Experience on the right a little up this road. The road itself is Broad Street, and it is indeed quite wide. One of the Colleges takes up almost the entire left hand side of the road while some shops take the right hand side. Keep going up here and you'll pass a strange building on your right with large stone heads on the wall outside. By the time you've got here, you should be able to see the Kings Arms just ahead of you on the left hand side of the road. It's the Youngs pub with the picnic benches outside. If you can't see it, grab a passing student and threaten them until they tell you.
