Can I persuade for Oxford? It makes it a hell of a lot easier for me to attend, and seeing as I only live a twenty minute train ride away (last train at 11pm) I might even be able to put a couple of people up if need be.

Yeah sure, Oxfords better for me too it's just more people seem to attend meets in Reading for some reason... Anyway, I'll put you down as a vote for Oxford but does that mean you can't come if it's in Reading or just that you'd prefer Oxford? Ooh and if you can find details of a fireworks event in Oxford then it'll be a much more persuasive argument as i can't find anything in reading...

Well, Glasgow is the twenty umptieth of October, and the Woking Beer Fest is the ninth of November, so I am technically free on the 2nd/3rd. And Reading isn't that far away. If it is that weekend count me in as a definate maybe. Only no rounders this time, could be cold.

Well, the Scot meet is on 26th October, which I shall be at.
/If/ I'm able to go to this, I would vote for Oxford, for several reasons. For one, I've been to Reading before! Also, Oxford is more central for more people. I'm sure Pastey can find lots of other good reasons to choose Oxford.
So... November 2nd in Oxford for a bonfire night/Halloween type meet is a possibility. Reading, definitely not.

Either Oxford or Reading good for me (though I have a season ticket to Reading though I know the pubs in Oxford better - over to you Pastey).

I can possible make Reading, can definately make Oxford. Can even possibly, maybe, put people up in Banbury aswell.

I suppose I could do Oxford, but I would be looking for somewhere to stay then as I don't fancy trying to get back at night. I take it there is a Travel Inn in town?

Loads of travel inns, also Pastey's house if you ask him nicely as he did say if it got switched to Oxford he'd donate his house...well words to that effect!
Ok, switched to Oxford it is, no rounders, plenty of pubs but only after the fireworks and maybe something like laser quest in the afternoon? OOoh this is great as my wedding dress is in Oxford so I can go and squeal at it again

Do remember that my house is 20 minutes away on the train (Banbury) and the last train isn't that late. You have been warned. Oh, and I'd better check space and such...

I was hoping to go camping that weekend, but doubt I'll have a car sorted by then :0(
So reading, fireworks & beer it is.
Haven't laser quested in about 6 or 7 years though!

Hmm, rushing off for the train could be annoying. Will have a think and look up prices when I get back from me hols in a week and a half.
