There would probably not be a problem with using the same colours, and making an image which uses them with the same effect as the original. Again, though, the Eds might say otherwise.

That's the long and the short of it, yes. If the creator of the graphics was a signed up member and accepted terms under which the BBC are allowed to use his work, the graphics could be used.

It's a nuisance, but there it is. smiley - shrug

I think your best bet at this stage would be to leave a message with the Eds and see what they say about that arrangement, but I think their preference is for it to come from signed-up members.
