Its VERY big. There's also an observation window looking down onto the production and testing floor one level down (Think Star Wars Deathstar or Evangelion's EVA Unit testing areas)

OK.
A fairly basic argon-ion laser has a danger range (over which it probably could do some serious damage to skin/eyes) of around 25 miles. See where I'm going?

Aligns laser to puff. Runs upstairs to control room. Switches on laser.
Puff ceases to be.
