This is kind of a rough time. We've just got over the funeral, and now my aunt (mother's sister) is in hospital. I got the call this morning.

The good news is, my aunt is off the respirator today. She's been upgraded to 'stable', and they're waiting for more doctor-talk.

This was a lovely piece of writing for a wonderful man. It sounded like he was someone who didn't just say he believed in Jesus, but really lived those principles and this open-hearted generosity made him loved by those around him.

That's it - my dad lived what he believed, a form of religion that involved personal integrity and caring, not self-righteousness. I keep hoping that legacy will continue. It's what he wanted to share.

Hi there Dmitri, a wonderful piece that you wrote about your father! A remarkable man and it is clear that he was appreciated. I can also relate to there where you say, the body in the coffin looked like him but wasn't him. That's just how it was with my father and mother. The bodies in the coffins weren't 'them'; the real them were elsewhere.
