This is a real African chant that I was taught.It is written as the words and intonations are pronounced and not intended to represent the correct spelling of Yoruba words or Phrases,

I am not sure what to make of this.

I have no reason to doubt what you have written, Ringo Zingo, but my reaction was basically 'so what?' There isn't much of anything here. It isn't a joke, there isn't any information about the culture, there isn't any "wow - I didn't know that" factor.

(Btw - are you still lurking, you haven't posted since Apr 3, 2003 but you did reappear the last time I posted in one of your AWW threads).

If RZ has gone then I would vote that this was put in the Flea Market; it is possible that it would be useful to another researcher.

Yup. This could be expanded into an EG entry. But it would need a lot of work...

Actually, yes, spook, I agree.

I think that a lot of the first-person travel writing on the site is more in the tradition of the books than the Edited Guide Entries are. My personal opinion is that the first-person ban has weakened the EG more than anyone really cares to admit.
