I need to preface by saying that i've spent the last ten years of my life in the footwear industry and I work for Johnston & murphy so I'm a little biased, but here are some of my faves

Johnston & Murphy Aristocraft collection, Quite simply the most comfortable leather sole you can buy, three layers of cousioning on a werlted shoe you can rebuild until the uppers fall apart. aa-eee widths available, great stuff

ECCO, Danish comfortable footwear, the ecco track II boot is my favorite shoe in the world to play in, goretex lined, comfortable as hell, i'm on my third pair and i get about 5 years out of a set. pricy at $200 us a pop but model 1954 by ecco is money well spent

The Venerable Clarks Wallabee, sand suede with a crepe sole. not as good now that theyre made in china but still a nice soft bangaround shoe.

The Palladium version of the Israeli army boot. green canvas and a sole that is indestructable

those are some favorites of a guy who makes his living at shoes

Thank You Jackhinx. I sell shoes at a little place in Arlington, TX. Called Earth Shoes we used to sell ECCOs and we sell 1803 or is 1801s I can't remember but it's ECCO's sister company from whta I understand. I just started this job about a month ago and need to update this page so I will use your ideas and some of the brands we carry to do that soon. I worked at Planet Sole for two years (which is owned by a DOC rep) and started the page inbetween. If you are ever hiring reps let me know that is my goal in the end. Right now I sell Dansko, Birks, Earth Shoes, Zeetas, Naots, Airwalk, Blend, etc, etc... Anyway thanx for the info will be updating soon.

I have a nice pair of Gola trainers with a solid white toe cap which can be easily cleaned with deoderant spray and a little cloth. they are red with some white and also have the bonus of rainbow dots on the sides. they are not only very cool and make sure i get loads of street cred, they are also comfy and as the toes are plasticy, also water proof to a certain extent.the best part about them is they cost a mere twenty pounds, a veritiable bargain in the modern day of over priced nike-air-running-neddy-pish i say.hurrah!

ok here's a little change since I posted last, or is is laste, Johnston and murphy is manufacturing all thier welt shoes in mexico now and thier just not very good anymore. Allen-Edmonds is the last of the good US dress shoe makers so if youre looking for dress stuff theyre prettymuch the last really nice one.

post script, does anyone know where i could get a pair of the palladuim israili army boot?
