Hi there!
Of course, if the h2g2 Community Consortium becomes the new owners of h2g2, an issue that will not wait is what flavour of organisation we want to register as.
So we have drawn up a list of criteria which will drive the eventual decision about which legal form to plump for.
These criteria are based on some of the fundamental principles found in our Statement of Intent, discussion within the h2g2 community about the band of happy many we aspire to be, and more practical considerations.
So have a look here, and see if you think there is anything we have missed or could do with looking at in a different way. Or do you think that we have pretty much nailed it?

As well as working out what legal form an h2g2c2 run hootoo would take, there is the not inconsiderable matter of how the site would work on a day today basis.
Which roles would we need to replace the Interim Committee? How would we decide who would perform them? What would be the difference between a member and a user of the site? What do we mean by ‘one man/ woman/ small green furry thing from Alpha Centuri, one vote’? How much work would each of us have to put into keeping h2g2 going? Are there alternative ways of funding the site to cornering the market in T-shirt sales? And, of course, the big one, what kind of biscuits would be provided at the AGM?
