Shall we try a phone call from a meet again?

Yeah, I'll have to talk to someone else about using their mobile, as I found out last time, mine won't let me make international calls unless I pay extra . 3SM should be coming, perhaps he'll let us use his again . As it's on a Saturday, the timing won't be so crucial will it?

Timing's not so critical, no...
And 'bell was *supposed* to get a phone card before the London meet, and call me on her phone, but she never did run into any of the people with my phone number, and didn't email me to ask for it (but then, I'm sure you know 'bell and email)

then, if Tink supplies the phone, I'll supply the number, at least I will as soon as.....hang on a sec, someone's just told me I've got mail . Got it I'll write it very gently on your back in a soft pencil, hope you're not

Probably early evening here, after the museum & before the starts flowing say about 6 ish? would that suit you?

6 would be good... 4 or 5 would work as well, though. I'm just glad you didn't say 2 or 3!

Um, hello...? Just wondering what time I should get up Saturday, and if the phone card thing's been sorted...?
And is anyone other than Granny and I subscribed to this conversation? (Just curious...)

Captain Kebab Posted Aug 29, 2002
I'm subscribed, Amy, but haven't had anything constructive to offer (not that that usually stops me ) - Granny was on the case and seems to have it all under control.
I've got a mobile (that's British for cellphone), but I don't know what the situation is with calling the States. I presume I'd just get billed. I've never tried calling abroad on it, although I've got international roaming enabled so I know can call FROM outside the UK. I'm happy to try it out if we need to.
What's the time difference between where you are and British time?

Well, the phone card thing I mentioned above will help cut down costs, and I know that you can get one for your mobile in Manchester, because that's what 2legs used to use to call me with when he was in uni. 5 pounds will give you over a couple hours at the rate for the US. I'm 8 hours behind you, so the times I gave are your times... I tend to just convert the times myself, because it's easier...

And I'm subscribed too Hope to say more than a brief hello this time. I'm sure we'll manage to sort the phone card thing now Granny's on the case

*still wondering what time the phone's going to ring...*
Like I said, anywhere between 4 and 6 will work... I just don't want to get up early enough to be awake at 4 (there) and not have the phone ring for a couple hours... I also don't want to be asleep when you call!

Shall we say 18:00 then? I hope someone's bringing a phone that'll work. It doesn't look like Tink's going to be able to make it, but I'm working on trying to find decent cheap accomodation. Captain, do you know where the Grafton is & is it ?

Errrrm - just got in - been to see 3sec's gig (greeeeaaaat) - Not sure about the Grafton, Granny - I live here, I don't know about accommodation.
I don't really understand this phone card bit - my mobile is a contract one.
