Another room is built adjecant to the house. It´s a wintergarden, and there are a lot of plants put up here... better ask Hati what their names are... I´m not to hot at that

Amazing what a simple word dropped by accident can realize
In a few days I will be off to Teneriffe for two weeks. Maybe I can get a nice plant through the customs.

hello Englander,
I am also interested to know how both of you think my name should be pronounced, as it was created as a simple anagram.
As you need only typing here, I never thought about prononciation.

Come to think I never knew what was your real name. Afaik you started with that one. Or did I get it wrong?

** reads the label for more information: **
Opuntia is a very large genus of cacti, varying in size from 2 inches tall (5 cm) miniature plants to 100 feet tall (30 m) trees. They are native from Canada, to Chile and Argentina. The genus has been split several times, but there doesn't seem to be a consensus yet on the best way to do that. The name Opuntia comes from the name of a Greek city.
All Opuntias not only have normal spines, but they also have thin barbed spines barely visible, named glochids. These can get stuck in your skin and be very irritating. In some species, they are particularly light and can become airborne when the Opuntia is moved. Wetting the plant before handling it might be a good prevention.
Opuntias often have large, colorful flowers. The fruit is also large and generally edible.

I know those spines... In a bad way. I have several Opuntia Subulatas and I used to have some other too.

As I said, my current name is an anagram of my IRL name. The differerce is so small that some people still use the old one, without seeing the difference (or flatly refuse to change).
You can still find it, if you look carefully

I thought it´s Mar-djin... but HollePolle said it´s "Ma-rye-n"... so well I don´t think I could spot the anagram...

I see what you mean. The anagram is in the spelling, not the phonetics.
But I must say his pronunciation seems good enough.

AFAIK it is only used in Dutch, coming from Marinus.
