Gentleman batsman and doctor from Gloucester.
Made first class debut as teenager. Full bearded throughout his playing days.
First batsman to score a thousand in May and a hundred hundreds.
Captained England in Cricket and in first bowls international.
Played against Australia after turning fifty.
