h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I was in love once with a small blue item I found whilst cleaning out a drawer in my Great Aunt Bismillah's potting shed.

Oh how I loved that small blue item, the way we bonded so quickly, the way I seemed to understand it and it me. We had joy we had fun we had seasons in the sun but the joy came to a halt when it left me for some paint.

I'm not in love at the moment but I am open to suggestions.......

Yes, I am in love! It's a bit tragical though. There is this girl which I know since the beginning of the college year. That's when the building we both live in was opened to students (it was an elderly home before then, if you would believe it). We live with 15 people on a hall and share a kitchen and stuff. A couple of those 15 have become very good friends very fast. This girl is one of them. A couple of moths ago I had a dream... I was walking down the street, and she was on my shoulders. Then I said: you're all I need (if remember correctly, you know how dreams are). When I woke up that morning I was in love and all happy and shiny. I came to the decision that I had to tell her, friendship or not. I couldn't walk around with the feeling that she might feel the same, not knowing. So after several tries, I finally had the courage to tell her. She was totally surprised and said she had to think about it. Then the next morning there was an envelope on my door. (she was going away that weekend) The letter inside explained she didn't share my feelings, she wanted to stay friends and she admired my courage. I talked it over with her and we are okay now. I'm still a bit sad over it. I'm wondering how I would react if she would get a boyfriend, or if I am going to be able to love someone else in any timescale. I know I am very persistant in these kind of feelings, and it could last for years. Needless to say I think she is very special and I just can't imagine myself with anyone else. Adding to the misery is the fact that I haven't had a real girlfriend yet (not counting chilhood gf's ofcourse).

Like you said though, mabey she dose love you as much as you love her, but dosn't know it yet. The whole dream event makes it really special. Hopefully you guys can get along and be friends untill one night....she has a dream...(hey, it could happen!)

Wow, that would instantly make me the happiest guy in the world.
