WEEK SEVENTEEN
egon Posted Dec 13, 2002
ah, I had an everton team featuring Zidane and Roberto Carlos at 43, Sol Campbell at 40, Rio Ferdinand at 37, Wes Brown at 36.
I once had Aldair playing for Cowdenbeath as Player/Assistant manager at 46 as well, which I was quite proud of.

46? Never managed that - well done. I got Dave Beasant (yes, Dave Beasant) up to 43 once, but that's only one season into the game.

My commiserations. But now you know what it's like to support Scunthorpe United. Or, indeed, Bradford City.

Thanks people.
I'm thinking of running the next one starting at FA Cup 4th Round and ending at the end of the Premier League season.
So, as I said, those of you who haven't signed up to the 2003 gme yet, please do so.

Thank you!
It was an exciting contest, going right down to the wire. Thanks to Egon for running it so well and so imaginatively. After all, I owe my final-week success to Berwick Rangers and Welshpool Town!
I'll see you in the 2003 competition!

So I pulled myself up to the lower end of mid-table mediocrity in the end.
Just think, if I hadn't had to miss a couple of weeks out of this season I could have made it to the upper end of said mediocrity
