A Conversation for Dervishes - Who are they and why do they whirl?

Zarquon's Singing Fish!

Hi Sprant!

I found this when looking for something else.

I assume you're preparing this for PR?

You might like to link it to my edited entry on Peace Dancing <./>A644663</.>, which mentions whirling.

There's a paragraph which appears to be a quote from someone. Maybe it should go as a blockquote and be attributed?

It would also be useful to say where people can see whirling today. I used to whirl at Sufi classes and I saw real dervishes at a festival a couple of years ago. They glide like they're on rollers.

It might also be useful to say which hand is pointed skywards and which towards the earth and the meaning of this.

Sprant; the Stygian One

Hi Zarq. Just found your entry smiley - smiley Happy to link to your piece when I get around to revising this. Will make the other amendments also at that time. Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances however, the guys here at the office are insisting that I do some kind of actual work in return for my salary. I've been resisting manfully but they seem adamant smiley - sadface Will prolly look at this again in the weekend.

Cheers

Sprant
