*after thought*
I don't really like Oasis that much, but compared to some of the bands that they've ripped off (such as Stereophonics) at least they're bareable.
I just think Morning Glory is the most bareable of their albums, plus the only one I've got
Funny fact though, I was in a lift with one of the Gallagher brothers when I was 11. Not that me or my gaggle of giggling friends realised. We just got told on the way back from the trip down to London. In my defence though there were two teachers telling us to shoosh and 4 giggling school girls talking crap and not paying attention. They trashed the rooms they were in in the hotel though which was funny.

Noel Gallagher and his merry band of simian lookalikes started off pretty well, you can't ignore the success they enjoyed (and which we endured) in the mid nineties with Definitely Maybe. Thing is, then they got really, really shit.
I heard a radio 1 interview with the caterpillar-browed minstrel, where the DJ was really licking his arse, raving about how Oasis' lyrics were, like, deep, man.
"Your God woke up on the wrong side of his bed? Wow, how did you come up with that...?"
"Yeah man, it's profound. It's how I felt that morning, you know, like some higher power had the hump on, like."
Utter bobbins!

Oasis did rip off the Stereophonics Tom, the main riff in Hindu Times is exactly the same as the riff in the Stereophonics Same Size Feet
and music reviewer or not I'm not going to argue with you over this fact as a) I've just sat here checking it and b) you're in Oxford I'm in Blair and if you want to argue with me on the matter you'll have to get your butt up to Scotland.
And at any rate, Jeff can put as many Oasis tracks in as he pleases...as it's *his* list!
You're taste is hardly the be all and end all. If it was the world would be in a sorry state.
*hates it when people are so unwilling to accept that they're not always right*

PM the opening guitar in HIndu Times is exactly the same as the guitar after "Buy her one day" in Same Size Feet...and! It's been recognised buy the reviewers when the single was released.
I'm not planning on arguing with you, I've seen reviews commenting on the similarity (and of course there's not exactly the same, Same Size Feet it's not the main riff) and my sisters (and she's a real snob about music and dislikes Stereophonics and doesn't mind Oasis) noted the same...
*stops going into argue mode*
Sorry Jeff, thought it was yours, misread

And Em, I wasn't shouting at you, I was complaining because Uncle Heavy didn't understand one of my previous postings and moaned at me.
